Tom Xu is an associate at the Long Beach office of Demler, Armstrong & Rowland. Mr. Xu earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School in 2015 and his B.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley in 2012. At Vanderbilt, Mr. Xu served on the Law Review and published a note on the Sixth Amendment’s Confrontation Clause titled: Confrontation and the Law of Evidence: Can the Language Conduit Theory Survive in the Wake of Crawford? Mr. Xu also completed the Law & Business Program and was a recipient of the Lightfoot, Franklin & White Best Brief Award for writing the best appellate brief in his legal writing class.
After graduating in May 2015, Mr. Xu clerked for Magistrate Judge Evelyn J. Furse of the United States District Court for the District of Utah before joining Demler, Armstrong & Rowland in September 2016. Mr. Xu also clerked for the Appellate Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida in Tampa, FL, and for a small medical malpractice/personal injury firm in Nashville during law school.
