Kathryn V. Dao is an associate in the firm’s Long Beach office where her practice focuses on general liability insurance litigation and personal injury defense. Ms. Dao’s representation of clients involves participating in all aspects of civil litigation from inception to resolution, including trial preparation, depositions, and drafting and arguing motions. While at Demler, she second-chaired a 3-week trial in which the plaintiff sought over $400,000 in fire damages and defendant obtained a directed verdict.
Ms. Dao received a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from UCLA in 2004. In 2010, Ms. Dao received a J.D. from Michigan State University School of Law, where she was one of 32 students selected to the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute, a two-year certificate program focusing on trial and advocacy skills. Prior to law school, Ms. Dao worked as a claims adjuster with Mercury Insurance for over two years, handling coverage issues and first and third party property damage and injury claims.
